LED Flameless Candles VS Real Candles

Candles have become a way to show the spice of life. The vast majority of them feel that it is very affordable and very fashionable to create a relaxed environment at such a low cost. Candles with different shapes are no longer lighting tools, but are observed and appreciated. Thus, in recent years, electronic flameless candle have gradually become a trend. After all, it can play the same role without worrying about fire, and it is also energy-saving and environmentally friendly, so why not?

Candles are made of paraffin wax, which emits smoky soot when burned. Presumably, the combustion products of these candles are similar to those released by diesel engines. Burning scented candles also releases volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde. Lighting a candle for a short period of time is usually not harmful to the human body. However, if candles are lit for a long time, the gas generated when they burn may cause allergies, and if a large number of candles are lit in a confined space, it may also lead to a lack of oxygen.

  • Firstof all, lighting candles, especially scented and slow-burning candles, may cause lead poisoning. Soy candles produce less smoke and less toxic chemicals than paraffin candles. But even if the fumes are cleaner, we should try to minimize breathing any type of fumes.
  • Secondly, it affects the respiratory system. When the candle burns, it can release a large amount of CO2 or other harmful gas. If the doors and windows are closed, it can cause dizziness.
  • The third is the damage to the eyes. The brightness of the candle is not enough, and the light is very flickering and unstable. If you read books or do other fine work under the candle for too long, it will easily cause eye fatigue, and even lead to myopia.
  • Some people may also have an allergic reaction to scented candles, with symptoms generally including sneezing, runny nose, and blocked sinuses.

The European Candle Association recommends ventilating the room after extinguishing the candle. But the use of electronic candles does not have the above problems, doesn’t it? The paraffin shell combined with the LED lamp beads has the texture of a real candle without the hassle. Two AA batteries support repeated long-term use of the candle with service life up to 50,000 hours.

Of course, it does not mean that LED candles can completely replace real candles, but when you have been through the above worries, the flameless candles will be a better choice for you.
